Calamity — Concept Lookbook
A downloadable book
Calamity is a bastard-engineered overland motorcycle recovery vehicle concept on the 1984–1987 Honda GL1200 Gold Wing — colors and design only.
The governing idea is mechanical honesty: every addition serves an explicit, heavy-duty recovery purpose. A 2,500–3,500 lb winch on a dimple-died cradle. Hydraulic landing gear that berths the bike dead vertical and lifts the rear wheel so the engine becomes a stationary power plant — driving a swing-down friction roller for super-winching or high-volume air and hydraulics. Three diamond-plate vaults carry the tools, the rigging, and the trauma kit. Cardboard-aided design, paper-wrap tube coping, flared dimple-died lightening holes: 100% hand fabrication with bench tools. Nothing here is cosmetic.
Every OddFable design is buildable: real parts with findable measurements, real geometry, no fantasy. If a builder applied real engineering to this design, it would work.
